Training & Structural Competency

InvisibiliLEARN

The cultural transformation engine of the Institute. Having data is only the first step; the next is knowing how to act on it. We qualify healthcare professionals, educators, and managers to combat **"Diagnostic Racism"** and implement an intersectional clinical practice for Trisomy 21.

Epistemic Injustice

Healthcare providers are historically trained to identify clinical signs primarily on white bodies. When a Black mother reports symptoms, she frequently faces **"Epistemic Injustice"**—her testimony is systematically undervalued or dismissed by the system.

Furthermore, **"Diagnostic Racism"** persists: the technical challenge of identifying Down Syndrome phenotypes (such as palmar creases or hypotonia) in Black infants, simply because medical textbooks fail to illustrate racial diversity.

InvisibiliLEARN exists to close this curricular gap. We transform "racial blindness" into active Structural Competency for healthcare and public policy.

The Cycle of Error

1. "Colorblind" Training

Professionals do not learn about the specific health needs of the Black population or disability intersectionality.

2. Implicit Bias

Clinical symptoms in Black patients are minimized or ignored, leading to late diagnosis.

3. Underreporting & Lethality

Late T21 diagnosis results in preventable health complications and lower life expectancy.
